Crystal clear, sharp, picture; beautiful colors; easy set-up. This set is in our bedroom. Others have complained about the sound quality/volume, but I found it to be good...set it on SS. For those using (Comcast) cable box, make sure the volume control is turned up to highest level on the box, then adjust volume using the Samsung remote.
Scheduled arrival was much quicker than estimated. TV was opened, installed and checked-out by a courteous delivery man...also took away the empty carton. Kudos to Amazon!
If you want to view a sharp, crisp image on your screen, I highly recommend this set. You won't be disappointed.
A great TV, simple (no setup almost) to install. We use it in the kids' playroom for which this quality of TV is frankly overkill. The room is three sides glass and we found the "Dynamic" picture option is a pre-requisite for daytime viewing - but thats the extent of the setup. Hard to imagine better at the price.
Consumer Reports rated this 32" Samsung as number one in it's size. After watching the TV set I agree whole heartedly.
Was looking for the best quality 32 inch HDTV at the lowest price. Amazon provided both. Plus, the tv arrived a couple of days earlier than estimated - always pleasing. TV is great, as was the ordering and delivery process via Amazon.
This is a an excellent TV if you can get it for a good price. But hold on to your savings because you'll need to purchase a sound system to go along with it. We did the research and ended up with better 2.1 computer speakers with a remote. It's the perfect size for our tiny apt, we sit about 9 feet away from it. We're very happy!
Product arrived timely and in excellent condition. Install was easy with no problems. Sound is OK but not excellent. Will probably obtain speakers at a later date. Would recommend this LCD TV highly. Based on all reviews and research, I am happy with this choice and would purchase another Samsung TV and purchase through Amazon. It is an easy process with the Amazon online purchase program.
I had spent several months shopping around, researching plasma versus LCD, looking at various brands and models, etc. I finally settled on this Samsung, despite being concerned about how well it would perform with my PS3, since that's what I would be using it for. All I can say is that it works spectacularly not only as a HDTV for DVD and Blu-Ray movies, but it also makes my gaming experience great.
There are plenty of connection ports (for what my needs, anyway) and options to adjust the picture quality. I initially went with component cables, but since the PS3 will only upscale using HDMI, I bought a cheap cable off Amazon and my old DVDs look just as good as my BR movies (well, for the most part).
I also use this tv as my computer monitor and I can't say I've had any problems there, either.
The only downside, as others have mentioned, is the sound quality from the speakers. But, if you're going to be shelling out money for an HDTV, you might as well spend a little more and get some decent sounding surround sound speakers to go along with it. So, for me, the speakers on this tv aren't really a factor.
For the size, quality and price, I think I made a wise choice.
I recently purchased the 32" TV in the 550 series, and I have to say that I absolutely love it. I really liked the fact that this model had 3 HDMI inputs and a USB port for music and pictures. I know some have stated that 1080 in this size is a waste of money, but as a gamer I can honestly say that the image in this model is simply amazing. Even when watching DVDs without up-conversion the image is sharp and crisp. I have read other reviews that state that the sound in this TV is bad, to that I have to say that I disagree with them. I sit around 7 feet away from the TV, and I only have the sound 1/4 of the way! The sound is even louder when the source is an HDMI cable. Therefore, if you are in the market for a smaller TV, this is an excellent choice.
I ordered this product on February 24th, The item says Free Shipping and will not allow you to change the shipping speed // option. For an 800$ TV you would expect amazon to use a decent carrier. My package has sat in Elk Grove Village since the 27th Pilot, the carrier Amazon uses to ship the package has done nothing with it since then. I have called today March 4th ( The day it was suppose to be delivered according to amazon ) They had not even contacted a now 4th party to deliver the package to my home which I can not even set up an appointment with until Tomorrow so Its going to take what 3-4 more days before I receive it? I will never order a item this size from amazon again unless I can change shipping speed.
Don't get me wrong, If you play Next-Gen game consoles this Television is perfect to suit those needs.If you play Blu-ray discs instead of dvds this television is optimal for this also since it displays in 1080P. If you just want to watch television in high definition you may want to consider going with 720P instead since high definition television is not displayed in 1080P. If you own a tv that displays 1080P it will be down scaled to 1080I. However, if you own a 720P Display than the high definition will not be down scaled.

A wonderful tv and the delivery service was outstanding. It was scheduled for delivery on tuesday and I needed it for the weekend and they special delivered it on Sat.
Amazon provided excellent service. Product was as explained. Product was delivered in a timely fashion and delivered to my door step. Amazon has excellent communication and easy to work with. Will order from them again.
I am still using my Panasonic DVD-R with component outs (480i) and I am
very pleased with the results. Even looking at old VHS home video done 20 years ago is acceptable (composite video through DVD-R).
Don't overpay for 1080 if you want to experience HD for the first time. Sets 32inch at 720p will allow you to enter without breaking the bank.
I have researched and the LN32A450 will deliver! (It has for me over a month now)
I quickly upgraded my "cable package" to include the HD Digital Cable box and now my local sports have become an incredible value. I almost caught the puck the other night from my living room!!!
If you are looking to go larger than 32" you will consider the 1080 sets.
Pay attention to your actual viewing distance and the size of your room.
Do your homework! Be patient! HD is just beginning.
This is our first LCD TV being used as a 'fill-in' until the 52" arrives in a few days.I'm actually in the process of re-building our entertainment center completely. I have an X-Box Elite hooked up to this set with the HDMI cable that came with it and thought it looked really good. At the time I thought it was a very nice, clean picture. That was until I was going through the resolution settings on the X-BOX and changed it from 'optimal resolution' to HDMI, and WHOA! was I blown away!! The clarity and definition is incredible!
The same can be said for Digital and HD cable television as well.
This set has everything needed for an optimum HDTV experience. I can't wait to see it on a 52" set.
After trying (and returning) two other models from Sharp and Vizio, this 32-inch TV is completely rewarding. Excellent picture, great sound (my Sharp had issues with sound from my TiVo) and great styling. A perfect second room TV!
Title of my review says it all - picture is quite good, but the sound quality of the speakers is terrrible. If all Samsung televisions have such poor quality sound, I won't be buying another tv from the company.
I bought this TV a little over a month ago after researching 32" LCDTV's. This one seemed to be the highest rated and I can see why. Brightness, contrast and color are all superior in the A450 model. Make sure that you get a DVI cable, it really does make a noticeable difference.
my tv is provided by verizon fios. the fios box had no output compatible with the tv, so i had to upgrade the fios box to an hdtv box with an hdmi output, and that increased my monthly fios bill a few dollars per month. i don't have any complaints about the tv.
Having never purchased a tv via Amazon.com before, I was somewhat concerned about the process. I needn't have worried. It was so smooth. The tv arrived on the scheduled day, was handled by a very professional fellow, was easy to setup, and runs as well as advertised. I would do this again.
Got this TV as a gift for my 18 year son for Christmas, plus he needed one to take to college anyways. He absolutely loves it! Thinks it rocks! It has great color and clarity. I am thinking about buying another one for our family room too.
